Nvidia's GeForce RTX 3080 has officially arrived. You've read all about it, examined the partner cards, and seen chart-topping levels of performance.

The next-generation of gaming starts here, however the retail experience is anything but straightforward. Actually finding an RTX 3080 in stock is a challenge - unless you're willing to pay well over the odds on Ebay - and Nvidia isn't the only one struggling to deliver as Sony's PlayStation 5 pre-orders are proving equally chaotic.

It will be fascinating to see how the situation evolves - and whether or not AMD and Microsoft can avoid such woes with their own next-gen launches - but for now let's gauge the mood among our readers by asking: are you upgrading to a GeForce RTX 3080? nope. everywhere was either OoS or website down yesterday. So I'll wait for a 16GB 3070ti or 20GB 3080 as leaked earlier. Also depends what Big Navi brings to the table. If they all suck then a 3060 or AMD equivalent to tide me over. Or more likely a 2nd hand 1080ti or thereabouts.
No idea, however if I can't get a FE card for either the 3080 20GB or 3090, then I'll probably completely forget it and stick with my 2080 FE.
No, might go to a 3070 next year. Would never be so desperate to have the latest thing, as to buy as soon as a new GPU is launched. I'm not paying the early adopter premium.
Depends on when/if I get mine shipped.

Had one ordered from CCL, thinking the minor price gouge was OK, but then 3 hours later get told that the stock level was not correct.

Had one ordered from OcUK but the wonderful people at HSBC denied the payment.

I guess if my house purchase is delayed another month I can afford a 3090 easily :/
Eh, no. I reckon that would be overkill for 1080p gaming on 24" monitor. I'll keep my pennies for something else.
