In Win has announced that its 928 Super Tower case will become available soon, in the US. This premium 4mm brushed aluminium and dual tempered glass sided case supports up to 14- x 14-inch Xeon motherboards, dual PSUs, dual GPUs, and has its own addressable RGB lighting zones. This case was first shown off at CES 2019.
The new In Win 928 Super Tower is, as you might have guessed already, rather a large chassis. It measures 582 x 337 x 668mm and weighs in at over 23kg unpopulated. Above I mentioned that it is compatible with the expansive 14x14 motherboards that work with Intel's latest Xeon processors but you can also fit your own choice of EEB, E-ATX, ATX, Micro-ATX, or even Mini-ITX board, should you wish.
Such a roomy case affords plenty of expansion room, lots of cooling options, storage options, and excellent max compatibility figures. Taking these aspects in turn, there is provision for 8x PCIe slots plus capacity for three vertical PCIe cards - and one PCIe riser cable is included in the package. In Win says that there is room for up to 6x 140mm coling fans in the top, three in the front and two in the rear. Water cooling rads as big as 420mm and 45mm thick can be installed. For storage, you can install up to 6x 2.5-inch drives and there is provision for a pair of 3.5-inch drives too.
Max compatibility figures are as follows:
- VGA Card Length: 480mm (Maximum)
- VGA Card Length: 335mm (with GPU Holder)
- VGA Card Width: 190mm (Maximum)
- Vertical Display VGA Card Thickness: 80mm (Maximum)
- CPU Heatsink Height: 185mm (Maximum)
- Supports up to 2 Power Supplies, PSII: ATX12V and EPS. Length up to 250mm
In Win talks quite extensively about the appearance and construction of this 928 Super Tower case. The aluminium used is 4mm thick and the 928 uses a single piece of this for strength and flowing lines. On the surfaces you will see that it features a charcoal grey brushed effect and edges are diamond cut. In Win tweeted that an expected silver version previously exhibited won't be part of the initial batch produced. Users get front panel access to USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C x 1, USB 3.0 x 2, and HD Audio connectors.
In Win is taking pre-orders in the US only at the time of writing. In the US market the In Win 928 Super Tower will be made available from Thursday, priced at $999.
