Ample air flow, but lacking style
Looking inside, you'll find there's room to work with all your gear, but no removable motherboard tray. Fortunately, the gap in the motherboard tray will allow for easy heat sink installation.
Look up, and you'll find more mesh, to which another 200mm fan would be attached. Mesh or no mesh, this one should in theory provide ample air flow.
Cooler Master has stated that its Storm range would focus heavily on strength, security and control. Consequently, Sniper's a strong-looking beast, and it has the odd control here and there, too.
However some of us have become increasingly bored with the rugged look of some gaming chassis (Ed. Speak for yourself darling! ;) ), and after a quick first impression, style isn't a word we'd neccessarily associate with the Cooler Master Sniper. That said, the HEXUS team at Gamers Convention in Leipzig said the local 'rattenboys' seemed to love the looks.
The chassis itself will launch later this year, and pricing is yet to be confirmed.
All said and done though,if this prototype is anything to go by, the CM Storm Sniper seems to promise to be a solid offering, overall.
