Still, I wouldn't complain, there's room for more

Over on the Foxconn booth, we spotted the new Dreadnought mainboard fitted with Foxconn's 9800GX2 graphics card.

But the poor thing looked so sad on its lonesome, especially as the Dreadnought board is capable of running three 9800GX2 cards! However, we've been assured that at least one more card is on the way to join the party when CeBIT proper starts tomorrow.

The spec sheet for this baby says 256 stream processors, RAMDAC running at 400MHz and 1024MiB of 256bit GDDR3 but remains enigmatic about core and memory clock speeds, claiming simply that it's, 'The fastest on the planet'. Sadly, we got nobbled by the Foxconn boys before we could grab more than this screenie of the card info within Vista. Ah well…

It doesn't seem to have a double SLi connector for 3 GX2 though ?!

Regards

Andy
SLi is catered for, its a small plastic flap in the usual location on the edge of the card casing.

You are only gonna be able to use 2 GX2s (quad sli). As much as I don't like dual PCB cards I'm actually quite liking the look of this.
