Intel believes that the spectrum of the software and the integration with the application is essential. The most important thing is the experience and be power aware. Centrino with the large performance and power management, or a low end palm top device with the bandwidth. Intel wants to grow the software ecosystems, with the logos, and tools.

The launch of the next mobile part in the form of launches Dothan - 90nm and ships it in Q2, and ramp fast. They want to have 802.11b/g with improved power.

Intel wants to have the Sonoma which is Alviso and Dothan.

Alviso has direct media Interface, Intel display power saving technology, high definition audio, 98 powers USB, 4 ports PCI-Express, TV out integration. Wireless - 802.11a/b/g. This will have the AES security implementation.

Array Microphone is something which is important for the customer for video conferences etc.

Lenovo and Insyde are going to be putting NewPort and integrating it on to the platform - extended mobile access.

There has been a continued in battery life with a 2.4W in a 14.1" Resolution. This is part of the standard panel working group spec 3.0

is it me or are all these new chip names and future chip names confusing as hell…
Yep… you are spot on there, Intel need to work out a nicer naming convention. I think the biggest thing is that they have so many products it is hard to do it.
about the btx form factor.. i really question how much of an improvement that it will give to the shuttle size computers.. esp since the new chips are going to be running hotter. doesnt ddr2 run hotter as well? also if i am getting this correctly, it seems stupid to have that pci slot on the picbtx as detachable..total differ is maybe an inch.. and chances are that you are going to add sth there…i mean was it designed like that so that people can build smaller boxes? that would just lead to more confusion right there when u buy a case for it…
