DFI has today confirmed its arrival on the Intel P55 scene with the launch of its LANParty DK P55-T3eH9 motherboard.

As part of the LANParty series, the board features a black PCB with orange and black accents, making for a design that'll suit many a gamer.

Based on Intel's P55 chipset, the board incorporates an LGA 1156 socket, a 6+2 phase VRM, and dual-channel DDR3 memory slots supporting speeds of up to 1,333MHz. Three PCIe x16 slots provide support for both NVIDIA SLI and ATI CrossFire, and eight SATA ports, one eSATA port, IDE and Gigabit Ethernet are all present.

DFI bundles in eight-channel audio courtesy of a Realtek ALC885, complete with Creative X-Fi extreme fidelity technology, and a handful of unique features including DFI's ABS II overclocking technology and BIOSecure. The latter allows users to flash the board's BIOS from an external system hooked up via mini-USB.

Early retailer listings are showing the LANParty DK P55-T3eH9 priced at around £160, with Scan expecting stock within two weeks.
