You've seen ASUS' high-end TUF SABERTOOTH, MSI's 990FXA-GD80 and now it's Gigabyte's GA-990FXA-UD7 that adds to the rapidly increasing number of AMD 990FX/SB950 chipset powered mainboards emerging for pre-launch appearances.

With its black, silver and gold colour scheme, the GA-990FXA-UD7 adopts Gigabyte's Ultra Durable 3 concept to power the AMD AM3+ platform, and of course, upcoming FX-series desktop CPUs.

Power delivery looks like it comes courtesy of a 10-phase VRM and there's a copious amount of PCIe slots too, though it isn't clear how they are exactly hooked up and what configuration options you can expect to have at your disposal. Support for 4-way SLI or 4-way CrossFireX multi-GPU graphics is part of the equation though, plus the appearance of a venerable PCI slot for (good) measure.
