Speaking of high-end DDR3 first, Crucial will debut a new range of Ballistix kits in February this year, complete with a new heatspreader design, as shown below. The new modules will top out at 1,866MHz, making them fairly conservative by today's standards.
Crucial will also release a new air-based cooler for its enthusiast DDR3 line-up, and here's a peek at one.
The transparent blades make it go well with the company's LED-laden memory, we think. Note the blue tinge on the blades from the underlying LEDs?
We're also likely to see kits with 4GB sticks becoming more mainstream during H2 2010, Crucial said, and we also should see a number 1.35V DDR3 modules and compliant motherboards through the course of the year, too.
The company's representatives were excited about the new C300 SSD that promises benchmark-bustin' performance. We'll have on in our labs pretty soon, so stay tuned for that.
