What's new?

The FME beta can be downloaded from here. Be warned that it requires a restart of your PC after installing.

Starting up FME reveals six boxes covering the different types of content you might want to access on your hard drive or online. We were impressed by the fact that it automatically looked for all my content and displayed it in a matter of seconds.

Another fun thing is that when you hover your cursor over a piece of video content, it automatically starts playing it in a small box. The audio auto-plays in the same way.

We were reminded, however, of FME's predecessor - AMD Live! Explorer - when exploring these features, and a quick download of that confirmed that a lot of these features appear to be nothing new. Also, does the absence of ‘Live!' from the name of this product mean that AMD is abandoning the brand?

What does appear to be new is the link to social media. It will automatically search for any media, on websites like YouTube, which matches the music or video file selected and it also enables you to automatically download all the media from all your Facebook friends if you want.
