New MacBooks inbound

After plenty of hype and speculation, Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) was launched earlier today by Apple's senior vice president of worldwide product marketing, Phil Schiller.

The San Francisco event began with the launch of a range of revised and lower-priced MacBook Pro notebooks. Starting today, Apple will be making available its MacBook Pro in a smaller-than-ever 13in form factor, bringing the introductory price down to £899.

The 13in system, pictured above with its unibody shell, features an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of memory, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics, a 160GB hard drive and an all-new non-removable lithium-polymer battery that provides up to seven hours of operation from a single charge.
