External appearance – round the back

The 1200 features twin 120mm fans at the rear, giving a clear indication of the height advantage it has over its smaller brother. Water-cooling preparation is to the right of the expansion slots and we reckon that all-black finish on the rear is very slick.
The power supply is fitted into the case with the use of a mounting-plate included in the accessories box. Each side panel on the Antec 1200 is secured with a pair of thumbscrews and could, we found, be removed and refitted without much trouble.

The most significant change round the rear is the addition of a new fan-speed control panel. There are four switches. Two, at the left, are for the rear 120mm fans and the others are for the top-mounted 200mm fan.

So why four switches, not three? Well, there's a three-speed controller for each fan, plus a light switch for the top fan. Quite why it's not possible to turn off the blue LEDs of the front and rear fans, we don't know but, we suppose, a light-switch for the top fan is a step in the right direction.
