Review: be quiet! Pure Base 500DX

Larger vents and an additional fan inevitably give the Pure Base 500DX an edge over the original Pure Base 500, despite being tested on a warmer day.

There isn't a huge amount in it, mind, with our Radeon RX 580 graphics settling at 71ºC when gaming.

No real surprises here, either. With more vents, an additional fan and little in the way of sound-dampening, the Pure Base 500DX isn't able to contain noise as well as the more affordable Pure Base 500.
