Review: Corsair Graphite Series 230T

Having arrived on the chassis scene with high-end solutions that impressed reviewers and readers alike, Corsair has in recent years shifted its focus to mainstream dominance with the launch of numerous low-cost models.

The latest addition, the Graphite Series 230T, is an entry-level alternative to the award-winning 600T and, while lacking in high-end functionality, retains some of the charm. Available in a choice of colours and styled to turn heads, the 230T is in our estimation one of the better-looking sub-£70 chassis currently on the market.

Corsair's stylish design alone makes the 230T worthy of consideration, but there are suggestions that this is a case of style over substance. As fond as we are of the exterior, we'd have happily paid a little more for a higher-grade interior with modular drive cages made of metal, rubber-grommeted cable holes and a greater number of dust filters.

These are weak points that would would-be buyers will need to consider, but if the feature set fits the bill, the Graphite Series 230T covers most of the basics by offering decent cooling performance, solid build quality and the right amount of flair for an adequate price.
