Thermal Performance
Given the pricepoint and purpose of the Eureka, we decided to pitch it against the recently reviewed iTower 930 from Cooler Master. To give a balance to the size difference between the two, we threw the Stacker 830 into the mix, too, comparing the performance of the three using the same hardware.A slight ambient temperature difference between the three in favour of the Eureka meant we had to be slightly cautious of the lower readings, but at idle it outperformed the other two, significantly in some readings.
Whilst the iTower 930 was beaten in all tests with the exception of the power reading, the Stacker 830 really was caught short, and the Eureka posted significantly better temperatures. The CPU, GPU and motherboard temperatures were very impressive from the Eureka at idle: the airflow working well and resulting in good overall performance.
Under load it was going to be interesting. The Stacker 830 did well in its tests originally, with only marginal case temperature increases. The obvious question was could the Eureka compete?
By the readings we got under load, it sure can; just check out that case reading, only two degrees increase, but still coming in under the idle temperature of the Stacker 830.
Given the issues the iTower 930 had in its review it was no surprise that it was outclassed in this company, with only the power reading beating the Stacker 830, and none of them beating the Eureka.
The GPU, CPU and motherboard readings in the Eureka impressed us again, with significant differences over the relegated Stacker 830.
