CPU II - Corona, KeyShot, V-Ray, POV-Ray

The Corona standalone benchmark replicates much of what we have seen before. It's strange to see the Core i9-9900KS seem so slow in comparison.

Intel's finest HEDT chip is a bit quicker than the best mainstream Ryzen - how times have changed! - and it can't get close to the more-core muscle of you know what.

KeyShot 9.0 is a real-time interactive 3D rendering application that also loves cores and threads. Trading blows with the Ryzen 9 3950X again.

Our look at a number of multi-threaded benchmarks shows that the Core i9-10980XE performs to the same level as the Ryzen 9 3950X. We can characterise this as entry-level HEDT. Premium HEDT is the domain of 3rd Gen Ryzen Threadripper.
