Power, Temperature and Noise

RTX 3060 Ti is not only faster than RTX 2080 Super, it's also more efficient. You won't need a high-capacity PSU, though Palit does recommend a 550W unit just to be on the safe side.

Efficiency translates to sub-70ºC temperatures under full load. Note that all three RTX 3060 Tis remain within touching distance of one another.

Here's where things get interesting, and not in a good way as far as partner cards are concerned. Nvidia's Founders Edition is able to keep temperature below 70ºC while making very little in the way of noise. While the reference board is impressively quiet, the first two custom coolers to pass through the labs are comparatively loud. Palit's Dual OC isn't quite as vocal as Gigabyte's Eagle OC, yet is clearly audible in our test platform as a result of aggressive fan speeds.
