Crysis 3

Homepage: Crysis.com/us/crysis-3 | Publisher: Electronic Arts | Developer: Crytek

Crysis 3 is a beautiful-looking game that continues to tax high-end systems. We've FRAPS'd a 30-second section near the start of the game, with lashing rain, numerous reflections and full DX11 pomp on show.

The excessive demands of CryEngine 3 make even these ultra-enthusiast cards shudder. Relatively smooth at 2,560x,1,600 but not managing to break an average 30fps at the three-screen resolution - in common with all cards - the Club3D HD 7990's performance is analogous to a GeForce GTX 690's.

A momentary spike halfway through the test ensures the Club3D card has the lead at 1,600p. No silly-priced card is able to muster enough horsepower to run the game on three full-HD screens with high-quality settings in tow. Food for thought, eh?
