Power, Temperature, Noise

The Maxwell architecture has proven to be excellent with respect to energy efficiency, particularly the reference GeForce GTX 980, so it comes as little surprise to see the Titan X fitting in nicely below a system-wide 300W.

Reasonable power-consumption figures and a proven cooler translate to a quiet gaming experience even when under full steam. Our coil whine test comes by way of the default screen in Total War: Rome II - the sample Titan X produces minimal whine in this scenario.
