Conclusion

...elevates the Aero 15's credentials as a creative powerhouse by day and portable gaming rig by night.

Armed with a 10th Gen Intel Core processor, Gigabyte's refreshed Aero 15 OLED can be viewed as an incremental upgrade over last year's model.

The popular Core i7-10875H adds two more physical cores to an already-powerful platform, and elevates the Aero 15's credentials as a creative powerhouse by day and portable gaming rig by night.

It is an expected upgrade, and given the success of prior models, it is no surprise to find that Gigabyte has kept most of the supporting cast intact, complete with the same minor shortcomings. These include fan noise that is noticeable at all times as well as a poorly-placed webcam that's of little real-world use.

We expect such niggles to be ironed out for the next major refresh, but in the meantime, GeForce RTX 2070 Super Max-Q graphics represent a known quantity, 16GB of DDR4 memory is customary, and though the Optane-infused Intel SSD is a little unusual, the laptop looks and feels familiar. All-round performance is strong, connectivity is better than most, battery life is where you'd expect it to be, and the 4K OLED display once again stands out with accurate colour and true blacks.

The Good

The Bad
Accurate 4K AMOLED display
Hardware suited to gaming and creation
Strong all-round performance
Broad selection of ports

Webcam position still terrible
Fan noise noticeable at all times
Display not the brightest

You'd have to be a bit short in the head to buy a laptop now no ? I reckon a mobile version of the 3070/3060, or whatever AMD have in the pipe, would definitely be worth waiting for
should have 11th gen by now.
