Appreciating that the Z370 chipset's southbridge is also the same as the previous generation, the storage numbers are exactly where we'd expect them to be.
It's handy being able to run a couple of high-performance graphics cards and a couple of NVMe M.2 SSDs without stifling lanes - the storage lanes are pulled from the PCH rather than the CPU.
