Overclocking Benchmarks
So why are we not seeing big differences in the overclocking results? Two reasons. The first is that we're intrinsically limited by the CPU and memory kits. Our sample Ryzen 9 3900X simply won't scale to an all-core 4.5GHz at the prescribed voltage. Even so, Aorus does better, and we're intrigued to see if it opens up a larger gap when we come to look at the 16-core Ryzen 9 3950X in a watercooled, overclocked state in the coming weeks.
The second reason is that the comparison Asus, albeit a fair bit cheaper, is still a high-quality motherboard in its own right. £400 is hardly mainstream, right?
