Conclusion

...engineered for maximum performance, Gigabyte produces an excellent board for the ultimate system.

Spending £830 on a motherboard cannot ever be taken lightly. That sum represents the best of the consumer/HEDT space, plied by the likes of Gigabyte, Asus and MSI.

The premier offering from Gigabyte is the TRX40 Aorus Xtreme. Beautifully built, it looks extremely clean with the rotated ports, and the board is strong on power delivery, storage and connectivity.

Engineered for maximum performance, Gigabyte produces an excellent board for the ultimate system. If you can stomach the £830 price tag, this is an extreme board in every way. Recommended for the deep-walleted power user.

Oh wow…. Based on looks alone, I'd certainly not kick that one out of bed!!
Could do with better RGB, but aren't they all like that these days?
this is what all motherboards should look like
Well it is nice and all, but I would like to see it put up against the competetitor CPU wise… i mean yes it is nice to see a really good or interesting review but if testing it would be nice to what intel has to offer or at least to be able to see the difference.
Nice.
But i think i am better off getting a low power laptop for the bulk of my work, my TR4 eats up 180 W just sitting idle, so maybe i should just fire that up when i really need it.
Or maybe a NUC or something that can share my monitor.

When there's a 3990X in the socket, there's really no competitor, apart from other TRX40 boards. I'd say that it's the most well-rounded of the trio.
