Solid cooling is reflected in decent temps for the VRMs. Asus could easily go smaller on the heatsinks without sacrificing stability.
Having a plastic ROG cover over the slim PCH heatsink translates to higher temps than the other two boards. 39°C is still pretty damn cool, of course, so we understand why no-one uses a fan on the Z490 chipset.
