Platform Performance
Our platform performance tests hammer CPU and system memory using a variety of system bound tests.HEXUS Crypto
HEXUS Crypto is a small test that iterates across a dataset, encrypting the data in the set. The application times how long that takes and it's entirely CPU bound. Using identical CPUs clocked almost equivalently (2410.9MHz for the Sapphire, 2405.1MHz for the EQS) it's no surprise to get nearly mirrored results.
Kribibench
The Sapphire runs a couple of percent faster in our Kribibench benchmark, a test that runs entirely on the CPU and which responds decently to the memory subsystem's performance.
Realstorm
The EQS pushes out a score nearly 4% faster than the Sapphire in this test, turning the tables. On average the performance is real-world identical as you'd hope to expect. EQS have large experience with ATI-based mainboards and it shows, matching to within a real-world margin of error with the Sapphire.
