Crossfire Performance

The Crossfire performance of the mainboard was tested using a single high-resolution Half-Life 2 performance benchmark at high levels of IQ. In the absence of a driver which helps SuperAA performance (a better benchmark since the PCI Express bus would be stressed a bit more) a high IQ test is best.

The EQS was equipped with Athlon 64 FX-57 for this test, rather than the Athlon 64 4000+ used for the other benchmarks, and it was used on an older BIOS revision due to testing pressures forced by ATI requiring the Master board to be moved elsewhere.

The EQS is slower by about 1.5%, indicating there's maybe some small tuning work to be done by EQS for Crossfire but not too much. That difference is likely less in the latest EQS BIOS. Regardless of BIOS revision, Crossfire worked just fine.
