Benchmarks IV

X2: The Threat had shown itself to be a reasonable indicator of subsystem performance. The benchmark scaled nicely with increases in CPU and/or memory speeds. However, with the close bunching of the various P4 combinations, it appears as if it becomes card limited at 1024x768x32. Still, the differences are there, however minute.

A pretty similar story in UT2003. The high FSB and memory combination manages to eke ahead.

The tuned MAX3 takes almost 20FPS out of the standard 2-6-2-2 settings. Will you really notice when the slower benchmark is in excess of 400FPS ?. That question doesn't really need answering, does it ?.
