Benchmarks III

3DMark 2001SE has always been partial to high FSB and memory speeds, even if they were compromised by high latencies. A stock score of 19202 from the tuned MAX3 is the highest one yet, and it just edges out the EPoX as the stock 3DMark board of choice.

A pretty close set of results from all concerned. The ultra-low latency MAX3 manages to squeak ahead.

The most notable aspect about the above graph is the mediocre performance exhibited by the high FSB / memory combination. It was consistent over many runs, indicating that Comanche 4 prefers low latency memory access. This benchmark has never been a fan of AMD-based machines.
