CPU Tests

Next up we have our suite of CPU tests, to see how efficiently a processor is allowed to run on the motherboard on test. First up, we'll take a look at Kribibench.

Kribibench v1.1

The performance of the Gigabyte board slumps behind the other two motherboards on test here, by nearly 6%. While Kribibench is indeed sensitive to memory latencies, they alone don't explain the performance differential. Other core logic-level settings seem the most likely culprit.

LAME MP3 Encoding

In our MP3 encoding test, all three boards garner identical scores due to the tests CPU-limited nature.

Realstorm

Realstorm utilises real-time raytracing, performed on the CPU with no help from the video card.

Scores are pretty close here, but again Gigabyte's offering slips close to a single frame per second behind the rest of the pack.
