Graphical Tests

Finally, we run a few graphics intensive tests past this board, equipped with a GeForce 6800GT. As a reminder, bear in mind that the comparative scores from the ECS KV2 Extreme board are also using an Athlon FX-53 CPU, which obviously means that results are not entirely comparable.

3DMark2001 SE

The GA-K8VT800 Pro gains a little shy of 23,000 in 3DMark 2001. As this test relies on the CPU somewhat as well, the FX-53-based system finds itself a few hundred points ahead.

3DMark03

3DMark03 is almost entirely GPU limited, so its score is more a reflection of the 6800GT in the system rather than the motherboard itself. The difference between the two CPUs in this test does lead to a smallish lead for the FX-53 system.

Painkiller

Painkiller shows us close to a 15 frames per second difference here, which can be put down to the differences in CPU speed between the two test systems.
