Uniformity and Power Consumption

Colour uniformity

The AOC isn't perfect, however. When testing for colour uniformity, our equipment revealed a fair amount of variance, particularly in the top-left corner of the screen.

Luminance uniformity

There's room for improvement in terms of luminance uniformity, too, with the top of the panel measured as up to 10 per cent darker than the bottom. It sounds somewhat severe, yet the shift in luminance is barely, if at all, noticeable during everyday use.

Power consumption can be an important consideration in the workplace, so it's good to know that the AOC Q2790PQU is frugal when in use. 23 watts when displaying a white background is the lowest reading for any IPS panel we've tested.
