Conclusion

...the Q2790PQU's quality screen, versatile stand and varied connectivity options make it an excellent all-rounder.

AOC is upping its game with a refreshed line up of business monitors launched under the 90 Series umbrella. Designed with IT buyers in mind, the new range comes equipped with a choice of IPS panels, ergonomic stands, reduced flicker, increased energy efficiency and competitive price tags.

At the head of the 90 Series range, the Q2790PQU, priced at £339 inc. VAT, touts ultra-slim bezels that bode well for multi-monitor setups, integrated speakers that help clear desktop clutter, and most importantly, a 27in QHD panel that makes for a thoroughly enjoyable workplace.

The 2,560x1,440 resolution is a good fit for a display of this size, viewing angles are excellent in all directions, brightness and out-the-box colour accuracy are exemplary, and though overall uniformity leaves a little room for improvement, the Q2790PQU's quality screen, versatile stand and varied connectivity options make it an excellent all-rounder.

Bottom line: getting ready to outfit the office with a new suite of monitors? Put the AOC 90 Series high on your shopping list.

“with a pinch of salt.” If you are cooking something that would be proper usage. the phrase you are referring to and its proper usage in the context that you wish to use it, you should type: with a GRAIN of salt, not pinch.

No point being so pedantic when the meaning is understood and the original translation from classical Latin isn't correct in the first place.

Anyway, for around the same price (well when I bought mine a little while back) another option is the Iiyama xub2792qsu-b1 (catchy!). Also a slim bezel IPS but has Freesync (48-75hz). In case anyone wants options.
For £40 more than I paid for the BenQ GW2765HT (?) I can lose some bezel space and gain minor picture quality. A year later. Hmm.
