Uniformity and Efficiency

Colour uniformity

A variance of less than five can be deemed acceptable when it comes to colour uniformity. HP's IPS panel almost falls within that range, but consistency does shift from left to right.

Luminance uniformity

Luminance uniformity could be better, too, with the top-centre and bottom-right areas exhibiting a variance of around 10 per cent. This isn't enough to be noticeable during regular use, mind.

There's nothing untoward happening in the power consumption department. Do note that these readings were taken with the E243d connected directly to a desktop PC. Power consumption will inevitably be higher if the monitor is driving peripherals and charging a laptop during use.
