Idle power consumption is fractionally higher than Synology rivals, and none of the five NAS solutions on show are particularly noisy in their own right. Each includes the ability to customise fan speed, and the TS-451D2's 42.2dB reading under load is attributed entirely to the four 8TB Seagate IronWolf disks, which are by no means quiet.
