Review: Corsair DDR3-1,600MHz: worth the premium over DDR2?

Raising the under-load voltage to 1.9V we pushed the modules at varying latencies.

We defined stable speeds as running a 10-minute Prime95 torture test without failure.

The Corsair pack actually scaled better with lower (performance-enhancing) latencies, strangely, topping out at 1,846MHz with 8-8-8-24 2T timings.

We're not surprised that the Corsair's frequencies are bested by the Crucial 2GB set, but G.Skill must be using some tasty chips on its modules; they scale rather well.

Temperatures were measured after a 30-minute stability test.

Surprisingly, or perhaps not, the DHX heatspreaders were the warmest. We take this to mean that they're doing their job in transferring heat away from the ICs underneath.
