Here's a quick rundown of the test system should you wish to compare benchmark results with your own.

Notes

We'll be comparing the TwinX-3200XLPRO's performance against another 1GB of Corsair's low-latency memory and 512MB of XMS3500C2. We want to see just what kind of benefit timings of 2-2-2-5 confer over the 3200LL's 2-3-2-6 and the 3500C2's 2-3-3-7 timings. We're also keen to see if 1GB packs fare better than 512MBs, and we'll also be using a cutting-edge Athlon 64 platform for testing.



Memtest86 highlighted no errors at specified speed and voltage, albeit with initial testing undertaken using an i865PE motherboard.



Corsair's Plug-n-Frag SPD timings were applied correctly by both motherboards. There were no stability issues during testing. That's impressive going from ICs that have default parameters of DDR500 3-3-4-8.
