Conclusion

Core i5-8600K and GeForce GTX 1070 Ti have the makings of an excellent partnership, for both everyday work and high-quality gaming at a QHD resolution...

The way in which modern PC components have evolved has helped simplify the self-build process. These days, just about anybody could pick up a handful of parts from store shelves and click them together - it's so easy I'm convinced my six-year-old niece could do it, with a bit of guidance.

System integrators, therefore, need to explore further customisation in order to create turnkey PCs that offer something a little different to the norm. Playing to the quiet-computing crowd, Scan's 3XS Z370 Vengeance Q takes a selection of gaming-grade components and wraps them into a package designed to make as little noise as possible.

Simple looking by design, this is a rig that's pleasing to the ear without sacrificing performance. Core i5-8600K and GeForce GTX 1070 Ti have the makings of an excellent partnership, for both everyday work and high-quality gaming at a QHD resolution, and the presence of six CPU cores will serve as a meaningful upgrade for most users.

Bottom line: don't be fooled by the system's sedate exterior, the Scan 3XS Z370 Vengeance Q is a powerful and composed machine well worthy of consideration at the £1,700 price point.

I disagree that the chassis looks dated. It is functional, quiet and without gimmicks. It doesn't have tempered glass but that's doesn't make it dated, it means it's better elsewhere.
Thank you Scan, if like me you think less is more when it comes to case design, then this is a welcome change.

An option to purchase a pre built PC that is subtle & classy in appearance and doesn't scream 15yr old gamer.
Looks a great system and a good price for it, I really would consider a scan system if I wanted a clean break, but my PC is just eternally upgraded so never really needed a whole new PC.
I don't know why keeping on putting up 4K results in general though, proper 4K is still a damn myth FPS wise, unless paying an arm and a leg, none offense meant to the review and the people that took their time to put it all down :)
I wish Scan would use Titanium rated Seasonic Prime power supplies instead of Corsair bronze. Hardocp reviews have always said they’re the quietest and most stable
