The new CPU suite sums up the current landscape rather well. In older, single-threaded tests such as PiFast, Intel's frequency and IPC advantage continues to hold sway. But the newer, optimised threads paint Ryzen in a far more favourable light. Multi-threaded performance is excellent, particularly for a 65W chip.
For those wondering, we can confirm that AMD's low-power part was able to maintain 3.7GHz across all 12 cores in the demanding Blender benchmark.
