Benchmarks: Noise
This, in our estimation, is the Fusion Voodoo SLI's Achilles' heel. The system is undoubtedly quick, but it's also quite noisy - it's clearly audible even when sat idling.
Apply some load and the acoustic problem only gets worse. The Vengeance C70 doesn't do a lot to soak up noise, and there's plenty of it when the CPU coolers' fans spin up during demanding 2D tasks.
It's a similar story when gaming, too; the Fusion Voodoo SLI is consistently one of the loudest PCs we've tested. Chillblast could rightly argue that this system isn't designed to be quiet - it has an entire range of 'silent' machines for those who favour inaudible computing - but not being built for silence shouldn't be a license to make noise.
Of course, you're always going to expect a fair amount of noise from a high-end PC with two graphics cards, but an enjoyable gaming experience on the Fusion Voodoo SLI may require a decent pair of headphones.
