Final Thoughts and Rating

HEXUS Verdict:

If you like your gaming PCs to be rip-roaring fast, the Fusion Voodoo SLI is likely to be a good fit; we just wish Chillblast had done more to tame this particular beast.

For the PC gamer demanding performance above all else, Chillblast's Fusion Voodoo SLI delvers in spades. Designed with a specific consumer in mind, it tackles extreme gaming scenarios with an overclocked Intel Ivy Bridge CPU, 16GB of memory, a SATA 6Gbps SSD and two GeForce GTX 660 Ti graphics cards; a combination that rips through benchmarks and £1,400 of cash with ease.

The system's sheer speed provides plenty of appeal, but Chillblast may have missed a trick by paying little attention to two other factors that are becoming increasingly important; energy efficiency and noise.

Knowing that modern components are geared to run more efficiently than ever before, we feel the time's right for system integrators to produce high-performance machines that use less power, generate less heat and barely create a sound.

Or maybe we're just getting soft in our old age. If you like your gaming PCs to be rip-roaring fast, the Fusion Voodoo SLI is likely to be a good fit; we just wish Chillblast had done more to tame this particular beast.

The Good

Extreme CPU and GPU performance
Flies through the latest games
16GB of memory and SSD as standard
Good build quality
Backed by a two-year warranty

The Bad

Too loud for our liking
Temps and power-draw on the high side
Two GPUs put reliance on SLI drivers

looks nice and nice too see the sli 660ti setup benchmarked, but tbh i prefer to build my systems myself.

While a 660ti sli setup might be a tad expensive, a standard 660 sli might be a nice price as would come in cheaper than a single 680, would love too see these in a sli benchmark set of tests…please..
Pretty cool
For 4.7 Ghz a better cooler should be standard (may bump the price by £20-40) But long term would be worth it. And a reworking of the Fans on the drive cage. For little extra, dual or tri fan models of the 660 would cure most of the noise issue at load. So if Chillblast bumped this machine by around £100 to have better GPU units with dual or tri fans and a better CPU cooler. This would become an excellent prebuilt Gamers rig with or without headphones.
I agree with ajax2061 here. A set of 660 non ti would be almost as performant and cost considerably less. Also I would go for 8Gb of ram instead of 16Gb. It's not because ram is cheap now that you should buy a ton of it. These two changes would also have a positive effect on power consumption.
