Benchmarks: Gaming
GeForce GTX 970 is a go-to choice for system integrators aiming to hit a sub-£1,000 price point, so it's no surprise to see quite a few of the machines in our line-up closely matched when it comes to GPU performance.
The ITX Gigabyte card isn't the quickest implementation of the GTX 970 core, but a 3DMark score just shy of 9,000 shows that there's a healthy dollop of gaming potential on offer.

We've benchmarked a few recent games to find out exactly what to expect and 1080p gameplay is clearly the Primal GT2's forte - in most titles you'll be able to crank quality settings up to 11 and enjoy silky-smooth framerates.
The compact machine also makes a reasonable fist of gaming at a tasty 2,560x1,440 resolution - we reckon you'd manage 60fps in the more demanding games by dialling-down quality settings a notch - but maintaining those framerates at 4K UHD is one step too far.
