ECS Liva Aston Smart headphones hook up to Alexa
Others do the same, but ECS does it without a phone.
Dubbed a world first, the ECS Liva headphones are able to harness the goodness of Amazon's Alexa without the need to piggyback off your phone's internet connection.
Rather, the headphones use traditional WiFi to hook up to the net. If that's missing, the Aston Smart can still connect via your phone and Bluetooth 4.2.
The cans feature a built-in battery good for around five hours' usage over WiFi.
Expect them to fetch $149 at retail.
