It looks like your potential is no longer Microsoft's passion. The old tagline - which has been used for the company's corporate branding since 2002 - has now been retired and replaced with a new slogan.

The new tagline is 'Be What's Next', and will appear alongside the company's logo across all of its promotional materials from now on. The slogan was chosen last summer to replace the 'Your potential, Our passion' tagline that has been in use since Windows XP was still a fresh, new OS. However, this is the first time that the new tagline has actually been used. The company logo has also been tweaked, although you'd be hard pressed to spot any real differences.

The refreshed branding is being launched with two adverts - one for Bing, the other for Windows Phone 7 - which aired during the Golden Globe awards last night. Both showcase a number of struggling actors discussing the trials and tribulations of their profession, before pre-congratulating the 'Golden Globe winners of tomorrow', who we don't know yet, but 'we will'.

These may not be the funniest or most creative spots that the software giant has come up with lately, but they're simple, effective and certainly seem to fit well with the new branding.

Both TV spots are available on the Microsoft YouTube channel, and have been embedded below for your viewing pleasure.

I find it quite amusing that in both videos the new tagline is cut off at the end when that's what the whole point of these videos is, especially when their from Microsoft's official youtube channel
How about some copy and paste function on Windows 7 Mobile? Thats where I want to be…
its in QA phase at the moment iirc.

But tbh, its going to be the novemember refresh which will be exciting.
