Sky is creating 100 new jobs at its customer contact centre in Livingston, Scotland.
Among the 100 roles, there will be jobs for IT professionals, graduates and junior staff too, The BBC reported.
Sky reportedly runs its customer business systems team from the Livingston base, which offers operations, product and service support for Sky's customers.
There are apparently already 4,000 people working on the site, which opened back in 1989.
Scott Mackay, director of customer business systems, said: "We want to tempt high-calibre bright sparks who are the very best in their profession to build a long-term career with us."
He added: "We are known for investing in our people and this is exactly our plan in expanding the team at Livingston."
In related news, a number of media firms have joined forces to urge MPs to lobby culture secretary Jeremy Hunt about News Corp's takeover of BSkyB. They want him to think again about his decision not to refer the deal to the competition regulator, according to The Guardian.
BT, The Guardian, Daily Mail, Daily Mirror and Daily Telegraph apparently sent a letter to Hunt, which said New Corp's promise to separates Sky news form BSkyB is ‘ineffective' and "will not achieve their stated aim of protecting plurality in news media".
The alliance reportedly wants the deal to be passed to the Competition Commission for scrutiny and for various MPs and Lords to push Hunt to do this.
