Last but not least

T-Mobile has become the final big-hitter to unveil its tariffs for the covetable iPhone 4, but it seems not to have played the last hand in the under-cutting stakes.

Compared with Orange, O2 and Vodafone's tariffs, the up-front cost of the iPhone 4 handset is probably the highest across the board.  For example, a 16GB model on a £30 a month (24 month) contract will set Apple fans back £219, compared with its rivals' prices of between £169 and £179. And that's before we get to 3 and Tesco Mobile, which are more competitive than the rest on many of their prices.

The data available to users is fair but not overly generous. Customers paying between £25 and £40 per month over a 24 month period, get 500Mb, whereas customers on similar price plans on Orange and Vodafone get unlimited data or 1GB respectively.

Again, T-Mobile customers also lose out on the text front to Orange, O2 and Vodafone, which all provide unlimited texts for 24 month contracts over £35 a month.

Unlike some of its competitors, T-Mobile does not offer an 18 month contract for the iPhone 4, although no doubt fans of the covetable phone, which has saw pre-orders top 600,000 in just one day, will still be queuing up when it's available...soon.

Here's a screen grab.

What do you mean by “fair” internet provision? It's fair in that they state the amount, but paying £40/month and only getting 500MB? Please.

And what's with the texts? I'm not a big texter and rarely if ever exceed 200 texts a month. But 500 texts/month on a £60/month contract? :o Or is there a separate set of tariffs for the more text-avid amongst us?
Can't read this story. Looks like a memcached error.
One of the Flexi booster option is unlimited texts. The rest of the options are pretty turd tbh. So at the end of the day you can basically choose which plan you want by the number of minutes you need completely disregarding the number of texts.

Have they fixed it yet?
The prices for this thing are insane. I just picked up the 16GB Samsung Galaxy S “free” on Vodafone for £35/month including 1GB data, 18 month contract (although that might be including a fiver off because I have a dongle thing with them already). Comparing it to colleagues' iPhone 4s, there's not much in it. One screen is bigger with far better colours, one is ever so slightly sharper, one doesn't lose massive amounts of signal if you hold it wrong, the other, er, looks a bit nicer. Yet you have to pay an extra £200? Oh dear.
