Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising - The Modern Warfare 2 hype machine definitely kicked things up a gear recently when Infinity Ward released their latest trailer but even so every man and his dog went out and bought Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising this week, at least that's the way it looks judging by how many of my friends are playing it on Xbox Live. Is it actually any good though? Make sure you grab some extra ammunition and check out Russ's thread in HEXUS.wargames for the low down on the combat, the bugs and much more besides before you fast rope into the online battlefield.
Xmas family build... - Christmas might be a long way off but new member Random_guy wanted a little advice this week from the members in HEXUS.hardware so he could get started on building his family's present early this year. They were only too happy to oblige of course and if you're looking to do something similar for the family this festive season but want to make sure it's economical and as future proof as possible the advice in this thread could help give you a welcome head start.
EU Referendum, Treaty of Lisbon etc:I don't understand it, anyone care to explain it? - It's not often that you'll find something that makes HEXUS's own Zak33 clueless but The Lisbon Treaty is enough to make anybody scratch their heads at the best of times. With only a few nations yet to sign on the dotted line it could quickly become part of every European citizens life but very few people seem to actually know what it's purpose is and how it's likely to affect them. If you're as clueless as Zak33 and thousands of others this thread is a must read in my opinion as it explains The Lisbon Treaty in a way so simple that even the average Daily Mail reader can understand.
HEXUS.social - Annual Bletchley Park Meet -24th/25th October 2009 - It's been in the planning stages for what seems like years but it's only just over a week away now so if you want to get out and about and meet some HEXUS members at the same time point your browser in the direction of HEXUS.social Co-ordinator tiggerai's thread and get your name on the list sharpish!
Blu-Ray Movies - I'm sure my neighbours would rather I didn't finish on a song so how about a movie or two instead? pp05 is after some good reference Blu-rays having been disappointed previously he knows as well as anyone that good transfers can be few and far between so he asked the guys in the HEXUS Audio/Visual to recommend a few. The answers came thick and fast and his thread is now full of Blu-ray eye candy perfect for realising the potential of your home cinema system.
