Making us an offer that we can't refuse?

The first details of the Godfather Part II have emerged courtesy of Xbox 360 World magazine, who are running a preview of the title in its latest issue.

EA has already told us that Godfather Part II will fuse the action, RPG and RTS genres to create a new experience, but now we can confirm a few mode interesting snippets of information.

Set in the 1960's, players will be able to roam around three cities: Miami, Havana and New York using their influence to intimidate local business owners. The characters that you meet in the game will all have a story behind them and will all have one of 12 personalities ranging from drunk

This time around they'll be six character classes: bruiser, demolitions expert, arsonist, medic, safe cracker and engineer.

They'll also be what's being called 'Don's View'. which can accessed at any point in the game, allowing you to plan your next assault, find out how your rivals are doing or distribute resources.

As far as gameplay goes, we still don't understand exactly how things will pan out, but the magazine does tell us that they'll be a free-aiming game mechanic, which will hopefully make the shooting segments feel more realistic than the previous Godfather game. They'll also be sabotage missions where you'll be issued with 'sting cards' for getting rival families into trouble with the police, for example, by planting evidence.

Finally, there's also news of plenty of unlockables, such as armoured cars and bullet-proof vests which can be earned by carrying out certain objectives.

For more details and screenshots, you'll have to check out the magazine which has gone on general sale today.

Looks pretty promising actually. It'll never have the same quality of GTA though.
I actually quite liked the first Godfather game.
