Not content with launching a new, lighter PS2 model in Japan this Christmas, Sony are also launching a sexy, deep red - and very festive-looking - PSP model .

PSP-2000 DR will go on sale in Japan on December 13th and Sony will be offering Japanese consumers two value packs, the first will cost ¥22,800 (£95) and will include a case, strap and 32MB Memory Stick Duo, whereas the second pack will cost ¥29,800 (£125) and will include a 1GB Memory Stick and a tuner for terrestrial digital TV.

It's unknown whether the new red PSP will make an appearance in the US or Europe, but if you fancy picking one up you could always import one from Play-Asia.
