New streamlined version

News of the next version of the Sony PSP was speculated on last month at PSP World

The article stated that, 'The tiny camera will be an off-the-shelf stock unit that is currently being used in several Sony Ericsson mobile phones, and will also allow users to take still photos, in addition to video. Its placement will be directly below the PSP's screen, where the "PSP" logo can currently be found.

Ain't It Cool News claim to have confirmed that the details are indeed correct, they said, '"Seems Sony’s current internal plans call for a release of a refitted PSP around Christmas this year. The device will, indeed, be streamlined (thinner), lighter, boast 4 gigs of memory and a camera."

The new PSP2 is said to be released around Christmas time this year.

I call bull, you can't have version differences in a console, the camera won't get used in games because it's not in all versions.
dunno, the eyetoy games work ok - and on other games it could only be an added feature - so enabling you to have your face on a character in-game

the title ‘psp2’ is misleading. its not a successor, mearly a revision
Yeah, it's more akin to the full size PS2 to slimline PS2 revision, to a whole new console
