Sadness - aimed at adults with nerves of steel

Emergent Game Technologies claim that its new psychological thriller, Sadness will push the capabilities of Wii and will boast graphical effects that weren't previously deemed possible on Nintendo's console.

Despite Sadness being entirely presented in black-and-white, the developer believes that the Gamebryo engine is the 'most powerful engine available for Wii.

Sadness is a horror adventure game, set prior to World War I and aimed at adults with strong nerves. Players will need to confront their greatest fears and protect themselves in hopes of not getting trapped inside the main character’s nightmare. The game has eight different extreme endings each with their own premise, which are assigned to a player based on specific factors during the game. To compliment the gameplay, the Wii-mote and Wii Nunchuk control the main character’s hands so players feel as though they are in the psychological thriller.

“Sadness is designed to push the bounds of Wii technically and creatively. We are thrilled to be a part of Nibris’ ground-breaking product. We’re really looking forward to playing Sadness on Wii, ”said Geoffrey Selzer, CEO of Emergent.

A release date has yet to be announced.

Yeah be interesting to see how black and white works. Could be really scary…muhahahahaha
Wonder if it could be the wii`s answer to eternal darkness..

No release date yet though.
That's the Morrowind/Oblivion engine.

I wonder how this will stack up against Alone in the Dark, which also looks pretty hot for a Wii title.
talking about adult gaming…. do you think we will see a groinal attachment at some point?
