Empire Interactive is hoping to bring board games back to life with a compilation of table-top games on Wii this year.

Included in the list of 12 games is Chess, Checkers, Backgammon and Reversi. To make things more interesting we’ll be able to unlock trophies by completing specific goals and customize each game by selecting different rules, environments and piece type

The 12 games will Chess, Checkers, Backgammon, Naval Battle (Battleships), Sudoku, Mahjong Solitaire, Chinese Checkers, Word Cubes, Quattro, Gomoku, Jigsaws and Reversi.

A release date has yet to be announced.
